We supply open door to the resource rooms which consist of computer systems and Internet, telephones, and facsimile machine. Also, job hunters can go to on-site recruiting events, workshops on resumé writing, speaking with skills, and job search activities, or pursue more extensive training or certifications for occupations that remain in demand. All 95 Tennessee counties are served by an American Job Center with qualified personnel and open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Our Job Centers are organized by areas called LWDAs (Local Workforce Development Areas).

Local Workforce Development Areas (LWDAs)

LWDAs are location clusters of counties whose labor market and other employment-related factors are comparable. This implies each location offers workforce advancement and profession services based on local requirements. LWDAs are affiliate, or partners who help run and administer programs and services as directed from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) at all of the local task centers throughout the state.
